Dust the bulbs regularly, clean them with a soft cloth, and avoid using chemicals that could alter their surface.
The two holes on the side of the lamp, which are sealed but easy to open, allow you to move the lamp to a new location: if you want to place it in a location where there is no light source, you can use these holes to extend the electrical connection sideways. They also allow you to connect multiple lamps: these holes make it easy to connect the lamps so you can create a single lighting system.
